How much memory can I install?
The Toshiba Qosmio G40-12S supports up to 4GB of memory across 2 memory slots.
Important Notes:

Mr Memory recommends you install modules in pairs for Dual-channel performance - View Dual-channel Memory Video.

The maximum RAM has already been installed by the manufacturer.

When installing 4GB or more into a machine with a 32-bit version of Windows the amount usable will vary between 3GB and 3.5GB - Identify your version now.

The manufacturer may have installed the maximum amount of memory supported, the memory slots may be inaccessible, or the memory may be soldered to the motherboard.
