Modern Slavery Policy

Purpose and Scope

This policy sets out the steps Mr Memory has taken, and will continue to take, to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur in any part of our business or supply chain.

The policy covers all individuals working for or on behalf of Mr Memory, including employees at all levels, directors, agency workers, contractors, suppliers, and business partners.

Our Commitment

Mr Memory has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to prevent modern slavery.

This policy has been produced in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Business

Mr Memory is the trading name of Americanino Limited, a privately owned UK-based company specialising in the supply of computer upgrades since 1994.

Given the nature of our business and our supplier base, the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain is considered very low. However, we remain vigilant and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • The Managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with legal and ethical obligations.
  • The Chief Operating Officer has day-to-day responsibility for implementing the policy, monitoring its effectiveness, and addressing any related concerns.
  • All employees are expected to read, understanding, and comply with this policy and to raise any concerns about suspected modern slavery.

Prevention and Due Diligence

To prevent modern slavery and human trafficking, Mr Memory:

  • Uses suppliers with ethical codes of conduct, often embedded in contractual agreements.
  • Carries out due diligence on suppliers and contractors where appropriate, which may include assessments, questionnaires, or audits.
  • Regularly reviews policies, supplier relationships, and working practices to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Communicates its zero-tolerance approach to suppliers, contractors, and business partners, expecting them to adopt the same standards.

Training and Awareness

Training and guidance are provided to key employees, particularly those involved in procurement and supply chain management, to help them:

  • Recognise potential indicators of modern slavery or human trafficking.
  • Respond to and report any concerns appropriately.

Reporting Concerns

Anyone with concerns about potential modern slavery in our operations or supply chain is encouraged to report them immediately.

Concerns can be raised confidentially to the Chief Operating Officer.

All reports are investigated thoroughly, and appropriate action will be taken. No one will suffer any detriment for raising concerns in good faith.

Monitoring and Review

We monitor the effectiveness of this policy through supplier performance reviews, regular updates to our policies and procedures, and continuous internal reporting and feedback mechanisms.

This policy is reviewed annually by the Managing Director and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation or business operations.

Status of this Policy

This policy does not form part of any employee's contract of employment and may be amended from time to time.
