This amount is usually divided by the number of slots to give the maximum per slot.

SERVER POPULATION GUIDE
  • The Maximum Memory can vary depending on the ECC type in use.
  • Do not mix RDIMMs, LDIMMs or UDIMMs.
  • You should match the existing memory installed, unless you are completely replacing all modules.
  • When multiple processors are installed, balance the DIMMS evenly across all processors.
  • If only 1 processor is installed in a 2 processor system, only half of the DIMM slots are available to use.
  • Contact our Server Configuration Specialists if you require a specific rank or brand.
