What memory configurations are supported?
The Gigabyte Motherboard GA-EP45C-UD3R supports up to 16GB of DDR2 and DDR3 memory using 4 x 4GB DIMM modules, or up to 8GB of DDR2 and DDR3 memory using 2 x 4GB DIMM modules.

Important Notes:

You can install different sized modules together in your machine. For example: Installing 2 x 8GB alongside 2 x 4GB will be 100% compatible.

DDR2 and DDR3 memory cannot be mixed on this motherboard.

When installing 4GB or more into a machine with a 32-bit version of Windows the amount usable will vary between 3GB and 3.5GB - Identify your version now.
