The top memory brands are now producing a range of DDR4 modules to support new DDR4 systems and motherboards. We will be adding new laptop, desktop and server models to our database as soon as they become available.
Below are some of main improvements DDR4 has made over DDR3.
To use DDR4 memory you will need a recent computer or motherboard that supports DDR4. If produced prior to mid 2014 then it's unlikely to support DDR4. Please click the button below to find your computer model and upgrade options.
For the average home user upgrading your current DDR2 or DDR3 system is more cost effective than buying a new system purely for DDR4. However if your current system is at it's maximum capacity and you want better performance and speed then it's certainly worth considering a new DDR4 system.
For server environments the benefits of upgrading to DDR4 can be more significant as reduced power and cooling requirements can save money on systems running 24/7.
Remember that it's often cheaper overall to buy your new system with the lowest memory option, and to upgrade to the capacity you want with Mr Memory.
