Recycling
Mr Memory take environmental policies very seriously and have an on site Compliance Team to over see all the policies we put in place.
Wherever possible we aim to reduce our impact on the environment through implementing measures above and beyond our legal obligations. We recycle all waste packaging materials in a responsible manner.
WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
- The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (2006 No. 3289) (WEEE) is a UK legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
- The regulations have been put in place to ensure that products are recycled using best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection.
- Both Mr Memory and our customers can assist in recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment. We cannot recycle it unless you return it, so our customers have an important role to play in helping us to recycle.
- Mr Memory will undertake their responsibility as a distributor to dispose of these goods in line with European legislation.
How do I know if my product is covered?
If the product or packaging displays the symbol below then the product is covered by the WEEE Directive.
If the symbol is not present on your old computer memory, don't worry as it is still covered.
How do I recycle my old products?
You can return waste electrical equipment to Mr Memory when you are purchasing a new product from us. Please note that it has to be a like for like product.
When you have finished with a WEEE product, please do not put in your domestic waste bin, as it will not be recycled.
Please return the product using the packaging from your order and using the FREEPOST returns label on your invoice. If you don't have the returns label please write the following address on the front of the envelope. Please do not put any stamps on the package.
