Although an official release date has not been set, sources are reporting that work on the new Operating System will come to an end this summer, towards a hopeful release in October. What is ECC Memory

ECC stands for Error Correction Code. ECC memory comes in three different varieties. There is ECC-Unbuffered, ECC-Registered and ECC-Fully Buffered. ECC memory is available in all memory types.

ECC Memory is used in high-end workstations, and Servers. This is because the ECC function is able to detect and clear errors with no input from a user. This is essential because Servers do not have users operating the machines all the time, so if an error occurred the server could crash. Mr Memory does it’s bit for Sport Relief

Today Mr Memory is embracing the sunny weather as we all dress up for Sport Relief.

We have a variety of different looks going on, from simple brightly coloured shirts and shorts, to a couple of people wearing full wetsuits!

It’s got the whole Team in a really good mood with everybody having a good laugh, especially at those in the Wetsuits, who are realising why they are better suited to water, rather than wearing in an office.

Obviously there is a reason why we have dressed differently today other than just to have fun, we are helping to raise money for Sport Relief. The money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. It goes a long way too. From transforming the lives of people in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities, or those living with poor mental or physical health, to protecting street children and providing life-saving healthcare abroad.

How did you take part in Sport Relief?

Will I Void my Warranty when Upgrading Memory?

In a word ‘No’. Upgrading memory will not, and cannot Void any Warranties for your Computer.

Many people assume that to also keep any warranties intact they will have to purchase memory direct from the computer manufacturer. This is also incorrect, purchasing memory from a third-party will not affect any warranty rights you have, and will most likely save you money as well. Continue reading
